Ann Coulter, that nasty woman, called John Edwards a faggot!

Apparently she has a history of fucked up homophobic slurs, including calling Bill Clinton gay and Al Gore “a total fag.”

Pam from Pandagon has an as-usual insightful and right on response. When I emailed the Edwards camp over the whole blogger scandal, they put me on their mailing list. So I also got the email “Shame on You Ann Coulter” that was not a statement condemning homophobia, but a beg for “Coulter Cash” to show her that Big Strong John Edwards is more powerful than a “right-wing strategy.” Hell no, call it what it is. It’s hate speech and it contributes to a culture of hostility for gay and lesbian people. Ugh.
